Andy Hall was born and raised in southeast Minnesota, lived and worked
in the Twin Cities for many years and eventually moved to Crookston, in
northwest Minnesota. He’s the owner of the “Sweetlight Gallery” in
Crookston where he has a public exhibit called “The Fournet Experience”
until May 25. The Fournet building is an historic three-story downtown
building and Andy was able to capture the unique designs of the Fournet
before extensive renovation begins this summer.
Andy won 2nd place honors for his photography work at the Annual NW
Minnesota Arts Council Spring Art Exhibit in Badger, MN. He’s also
teaches photography.

Topic: Sherri is originally from the Wannaska, MN area, is a mosaic artist
and teacher. She started teaching in Badger public school 16 years ago
and is the junior high and high school math teacher. There is no art
department, so she and another teacher started an art club shortly after
she arrived. The Art Club includes an art encampment in the spring.
Sherri approached the city in early 2016 to present her idea of a Badger
“Heritage Wall” that would tell the story of Badger through stained glass
depictions. “The huge mosaic wall has brought together community
members of all ages for the last 3 years.
Sherri Is the 2019 NWMAC Arts Advocate of the Year award winner
